Not sure about your previous filler? Start here.

How to prepare for a conversation about an existing result.

The starting point

An assessment comes before a correction plan.

Gather what you know

Write down the treatment dates, the product if known and what you are noticing now. If you have records or earlier photographs, ask the practice how to share them appropriately. It is fine to say when you do not know a detail.

Describe the concern without diagnosing it

Explain what feels different and when you noticed it. A photograph or social media description cannot establish the cause. An individual clinical assessment is needed before considering another treatment.

Understand that options depend on the assessment

The FDA explains that filler products and their risks differ; removal can be difficult or impossible for some materials. Ask what options are relevant to your situation, what their limitations are and what follow-up would involve. A consultation should make the proposed next step clearer rather than assume more treatment is necessary.
